Nov. 11-15, 2024 "Health & Nutrition"
We will continue our unit on health and nutrition this week. We will learn about the importance of eating healthy foods and taking care of our bodies. We will use “MyPlate” to learn about the different food groups and sort the foods on our plates. We will also try different foods from the food groups and talk about how they taste. We will practice writing the letter “F” and strengthen our small motor skills by using bingo dabbers to make colorful fruits and vegetables. Our Bible lessons will be God Chooses Moses from Exodus 3 & 4. We will talk about how God keeps us safe and wants us to share the good news of Jesus with others.
The PreK & Kindergarten Pajama Party is coming up on Friday, November 15th from 6:00-7:00PM. Bring your family for fun crafts, games and a short movie.
Next week, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving with a special Thanksgiving Feast with other classes. Your child will be coming home with an invitation that tells you what your child should bring to share with others. In addition, you and adult family guests are invited to attend. Please complete the bottom portion of the invitation and return to school by Monday November 18th or Tuesday November 19th so that we can plan accordingly.
Your child will come home with a “Thankful Turkey” that we will be using for our Bible Lesson next week. Each child should put pictures of things that they are thankful for on the turkey’s feathers. We will be sharing our turkeys during our Bible lesson time.
We are participating in a reading incentive program through Eaton’s Pizza! The information was sent home last week. If you choose to participate, please complete the calendar each month and return your signed calendar at the end of each month!
Information regarding our upcoming Cookie Walk was sent home last week. This fundraiser collects funds that go directly back into our classrooms. We appreciate your family participating in this fundraiser! Please let me know if you have any questions!

As the colder weather approaches, please make sure that your child has a warm coat and hat. We will be going outside on days that the time and weather permits. We also will experience more of our classmates with colds and runny noses. Please continue to reinforce sneezing in our arms, blowing noses and washing hands to ensure that we are doing all that we can to stay healthy!
