Weekly Update
January 20th-23rd, 2025 “Teddy Bears”
This past week we learned all about outer space. We spent time making astronaut helmets, rocket ships, and eating astronaut food. Also, we spent time working on the letter Ss.
This upcoming week we will be focusing on teddy bears. We will read a book called Where’s Teddy? We will also watch a video about where and how teddy bears are made. We will spend time working on numbers and patterns with various bears. Please send your child with his or her own teddy bear (if they have one) on Monday. Our letter of the week will be Tt. Our Bible lessons will focus on the bronze snake and Balaam.
Looking ahead to February, we will have our class Valentine’s Day parties. Please send with your child one empty cereal box that they can decorate at school and can be used as their mailbox. Please have an empty cereal box turned in by February 7th.
Our Day with Dudes is also coming up on February 7th. A form was sent home with your child this week with more information. Please have the RSVP back to me by January 31st.
For the month of January, our school chapel offerings are supporting Family Sharing. In addition to the offering money collected each Friday, we are also looking for a few key items to support Family Sharing this season. They are looking for canned chicken, canned pineapple, canned peaches, oatmeal variety packs, and granola bar packs. Donations will be collected in the classroom throughout January.
