Week of Jan.20- Teddy bears
While it would be nice to have a picnic outside in some green grass , 2K will cozy up indoors with our teddies/ other favorite stuffed friend for an indoor picnic. We will have a quick show and share with our "teddies" and create a google slideshow to introduce them to you. Follow the bear prints into our room Wednesday/Thursday to start the fun. We will practice counting and sorting bears, make a foam bear project, and make a book to practice position words. Frank Asch books including Mooncake and Just like Daddy will be shared, along with Goldilocks and the 3 bears. We'll hear the teddy bear picnic song while we eat fun little sandwiches from a real picnic basket. 🙂 Remember this good old Teddy bear rhyme? Last week's special word was galaxy, this week it will be sewing.
Teddy bear, teddy bear turn around
Teddy bear, teddy bear touch the ground
Teddy bear, teddy touch your nose
Teddy bear, teddy bear touch your toes
Teddy bear, teddy bear turn out the light
Teddy bear, teddy bear say goodnight!
Jesus time: We will hear the story of God calling Samuel. teddy bears remind us of bedtime, and God spoke to Samuel during the night. He called to him 3 times. By the last time The priest told him to say "speak Lord, your servant is listening." Then God had a special message for Samuel. We enjoyed our sign language last week, and will learn to say "God, I am listening to you"
