Dear Families,

This past week FLEW!  We had a lot of commotion and activity.  Next week will be our last full week of school.  Students need to finish strong and stay focused. 

Thank you to all who made it to the Spring Concert!!! Our Class completely ROCKED it!!! Way to go!

Religion/Friendzy Math Reading Writing/Spelling

This past week: We learned more about the Holy Spirit and Pentecost.

Friendzy Theme: May- I Am for You

This past week: We started our last unit- Unit 13 2D shapes. 

This past week: We continued with our Charlotte's Web reading. 

This past week: 4.8 Review

We are working on Narrative stories with dialogue and many finished.  

We worked on how to write dialogue. 

 

 

 

Next Week: We will look to the persecution of Apostles, Conversion of Paul, and Jesus' command to us all. 

Friendzy: May- I Am for You

Next Week: We will wrap up our 2D shapes Unit. 

Students should continue to practice multiplication facts! 

We will take the Post Test for Multiplication this week to see if retention has occurred. 

Next Week: We have one more day of Charlotte's Web. Then we will look at each student's favorite genre

 

Next Week:  We will wrap up our Narrative stories and work their favorite type of writing. 

We will discuss Adverbs.

Grafton is excited to announce the return of their Summer Learning Program, featuring both enrichment and academic (remedial) courses tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.

Enrichment Courses: These courses are open to all students residing in Grafton, without the need for a teacher's recommendation. The offerings will be detailed in our upcoming summer school brochure. Meet time: 8am: Gr. K-8 students w/ K-Z last names sing; 7:30am: JuBellate rehearses at bell tables;

11am: Gr. K-8 students w/ A-J last names sing 10:30: Concert Band meets in the balcony

End-of-Year School Picnic May 30: It is our tradition here at St. Paul to have an all-school picnic on Track and Field Day.  This year Track and Field Day is scheduled for Thursday May 30th.  The picnic will include a hot dog, watermelon, chips, bottled water and a dessert.  To plan for the picnic you will need to sign-up and pay for lunch.  Parents who will be here at school that day are encouraged to join us.  Each lunch will cost $2.00.  Additional hot dogs can be purchased for $1.00 each.  Please note, this lunch is not in conjunction with the lunch program, so payment must be included with each lunch order. Please fill out the lunch slip that went home with your child earlier this week, and send it back to school by Tuesday, May 21st.

Social Studies

We are finishing our journey throughout the world this week as we bring South America to a close.  This week we will take a look at religions of South America.  Then we will conclude with students filling out the study guide as their test.  Only three Social Studies classes left!

Science

Our last week of Science will be about Magnets and Electricity!
