PTFL - Parent, Teacher, Friends League
PTFL Parent Teacher Friends League
The St. Paul Lutheran School PTFL is an active, parent-run organization open to all parents and staff at St. Paul Lutheran School. Being involved with PTFL is the best way for parents to stay informed about activities at St. Paul. It is also a great opportunity for parents to share their skills and insights. The PTFL exists to improve communication and cooperation within the St. Paul community, to enhance the learning environment, and to increase community awareness of St. Paul.
Annual PTFL projects include: · Welcome Back Orientation · Harvest Festival · Jesus is the Reason for the Season Breakfast · Angel Tree (gifts collected at Christmas and donated) · Scholastic Book Fair · Teacher/Staff Appreciation Day · Fundraising (2 major fundraisers/school-year) · Providing classrooms with educational materials · Staff Lunches · Various student & parent education programs · Providing volunteers to assist at school functions Through its fundraising efforts, the PTFL identifies and supports annual school-wide projects such as the Playground Fund, Gym Fund, and acquiring SMARTBoard technology for the classrooms. It has also assisted teachers with fees to teacher’s conferences, equipping classrooms with whiteboards, and purchasing a new printer for the Computer Lab.
PTFL Members have monthly meetings that are held the 2nd Thursday of the month at 6:30pm at St.Paul’s in the Family Life Center.
